Training in Livelihood Conservation and Climate Change

The occasion this time was the camp for 'Training in Livelihood Conservation and Climate Change' for the employees of RBS Foundation which was conducted successfully during 29th to 31st January at our Muthawa Community Resource Centre.

After the introductory lecture by wildlife conservationist Kishor Rithe and ice breaking, the participants visited the four different projects at Muthawa centre. He also discussed the Development model based  on Livelihood Conservation.

What made this training more interesting was the visit to the resettlement site of Kund village where the participants actually saw the proofs like droppings & hoof marks, a sure sign of presence of herbivores in the area.

After that the interaction with Field Director Mr. A K Mishra, Deputy Conservator of Forest Mr. Pravin Badge, well-known journalist Mr. Pinjarkar was again a informative session. All participated actively in the discussion and learnt many new things. A lecture on Climate Change was conducted by Prof. Nishikant Kale.

A lecture about Spiders by Prof. G N Vankhede opened a whole new & beautiful world of spiders. Then participants also spent some time looking for spiders in the Muthawa centre.

A lecture and video on Micro-finance by Mr. N. Sunil Kumar, Head of RBS Foundation, was equally enjoyed by everyone.  Finally, the training programme concluded with distribution of Training completion certificate to each participant.
